:As we have been doing for years
, Antiques and The Arts Weekly offers a look at the annual Winter Antiques Show and reminds its readers that there is still time to visit the show. It will continue at the Park Avenue Armory, 67th Street, until Sunday, January 31.
This year the 75 exhibitors have put their all into the show, bringing out rare and wonderful objects to offer to collectors. And the people visiting the show daily are showing more interest and it seems the energy that was on the floor preview night, Thursday, January 21, continues to flow.
This year the show welcomed six new exhibitors, invited Historic New England to present a loan exhibition marking its century of collecting, and moved the dateline of the show to 1969, thereby adding several new dimensions and interest to the show.
All proceeds from the event benefit the East Side House Settlement and hours are from noon to 8 pm daily, noon to 6 pm Thursday and Sunday.
A complete review of the show, with additional pictures, will appear in a forthcoming issue of Antiques and The Arts Weekly.
