: Carl Hammer Gallery is showing Mike Noland's "Leaps of Faith," an
exhibition of new paintings, through August 30.
An avid fisherman, Noland remembers well the sound of fish
jumping and splashing into the night. And as these paintings
serve as a spiritual journey into those night sounds, the images
of the fish jumping are indeed "Leaps of Faith."
In Noland's fish imagery, wild, uncontrollable, expressive forces
of nature are expressed.
