:The Cape Cod Museum of Art will present "Cy Fried: Shapes and
Shadows," through June 5.
The show consists of both Mr Fried's new work - acrylic paintings
on board - and his photos and photo aquatints for which he is
best known.
A graduate of New York Institute of Photography, Mr Fried has
enjoyed working in the specialized by uncommon technique of
gum/printing, or making photo aquatints, developed by a printing
process dating back to the late 1800s.
He enjoys painting back-to-back with his artist wife Miriam in
their Provincetown studio.
