Elizabeth W. ‘Liz’ Long, 91, Owned Cod Fish Antiques

Southbury, Conn.
:Elizabeth W. "Liz" Long, 91, of Heritage Village in Southbury, died March 17 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ernest Long. A resident of Newtown, Conn., for more than 15 years, she owned and operated the Cod Fish Antiques in the Sandy Hook section of Newtown for many years.

She was born in Glocester, R.I., November 30, 1915, daughter of Richard and Julia (Winsor) Fiske.

She was a member of several antiques associations; she also loved to cook, enjoyed music and taught piano. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves two sons, Barry Long of Norwalk, Conn., and Marc Long of Wilbraham, Mass.; two daughters, Sydney Machon of West Lake Village, Calif., and E. Julie Kostes of Portland, Ore.; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A daughter, Alyson Long-Mack, predeceased Mrs. Long.
