Michael L. Sullivan, Respected Expert In Glass & Lighting

:Well-known Indiana antiques dealer Mike Sullivan died at his Westfield home on October 6. He is survived by daughters Susan, Michelle and Cindy, son Michael, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan, in January 2000.

A native of Cassville, Mo., and former US Marine, Sullivan held a chemistry degree from Oklahoma Central State College, working in the field of analytical chemistry as a research specialist, before he and Jo became full-time antiques dealers in 1983.

They were noted exhibitors at the original Crutcher Antique Show in Indianapolis, the original Hartford Antiques Show in Connecticut, the Wendy shows and other venues in the East as well as the Midwest. He was known and respected as an expert in Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century glass and lighting, and for his thorough research and knowledge of early American furniture, particularly corner cupboards, as well as stoneware and jacquard coverlets woven by Indiana weavers.

Services were held on October 13, in Arcadia, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made toward an educational fund for Mike and Jo's grandchildren, and may be forwarded to Michelle McGrotty, 9630 State Road 267, Brownsburg IN 46112.
