Elinor Gordon, 91, Chinese Export Porcelain Expert, Dies

:Elinor McIntyre Gordon, a noted authority on Chinese Export porcelain, died July 22 after suffering a stroke while vacationing on Cape Cod. She was 91.

Gordon brought rare grace and style to her half-century long career as a show dealer, making her final professional appearance at the 2009 Philadelphia Antiques Show in April. She exhibited at the Winter Antiques Show from its founding in 1955 until 2008. In 2003, Gordon became the second recipient of the Antique Dealers Association of America's Award of Merit. She is survived by six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Antiques and The Arts Weekly's tribute to Elinor Gordon will follow in a future issue.
