Reported stolen, this antique cement pony weighs between 500 and 600 pounds, stands more than 3 feet tall and is about 18 inches wide.
:"Horse rustlers" struck a suburban property here on March 15, making off with an antique cement pony that was displayed in the owner's front yard.
In a report to the Mendham Borough Police Department, which is investigating the theft, the owners described the pony as weighing between 500 and 600 pounds, standing more than 3 feet tall and being about 18 inches wide.
The owners last saw the statue, which had been in the family for many years, on the afternoon of March 15. The husband stated that he had observed a pile of stone debris when leaving for work at 6 am on March 16, but did not realize the statue was missing until he returned home at about 3 pm.
He followed the debris trail to a nearby street where he lost the trail. It appeared that the horse may have been loaded into a vehicle at that location.
