Yoshimoto Nara Painting Stolen, $20,000 Reward Offered

:On June 22 a Yoshimoto Nara painting of a young girl was stolen from a private residence here where it had been stored in a locked safe, according to an announcement by Art Loss Register. The thief or thieves broke into the home and forcefully removed the entire safe, along with its contents, with a crowbar.

At the time of theft, the safe held the Nara painting and some valuable jewelry. The owner is offering a $20,000 reward for the return of the Nara painting. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Art Loss Register, 877-ART-LOSS (278-5677), or the LAPD Art Theft Detail, 213-485-2524.
