:A car burglary was reported following the Greenwich Antiques Show the weekend of October 17–18. Stolen from a dealer's van were items that had been purchased by a collector at a Pennsylvania auction and given to the dealer to be framed.

A silhouette and watercolor portrait were left in a plain brown paper bag on the front seat of the dealer's vehicle. In the bag were inventory records and a register from the show as well.

The silhouette is described as an American printed and hollow cut silhouette of a lady, Nineteenth Century, 3½ inches.

The watercolor portrait accompanied with costume overlays, probably American, 1840–1855, cut paper, watercolor and ribbon. The piece comprises a bust of a dark haired lady with six colorful, hatted, historical and foreign costume overlays. All are fitted in the original hand painted oval frame folder with ribbon hinges. Costumes, which are labeled on the reverse, depict a Quakeress, old-fashioned lady, Dutchwoman, Swiss, Parisian and nun. Dimensions are 5 inches high by 4¼ inches wide.
