Millis, Mass., Police Dept Investigating Theft Of Silver Flatware & Hollowware

:The Millis Police Department is investigating the theft of silver stolen on March 9.

Among the 12-place sterling silver flatware in the Silver Masterpiece pattern by International Silver Co. were the following items: demitasse spoons, cocktail/seafood forks, hostess set (tablespoon, pierced tablespoon, sugar spoon, butter serving knife, gravy ladle, small cold meat fork), sugar tongs, lemon forks, jelly server, cheese serving knife, bon-bon spoon, tablespoon, cream sauce ladle, cranberry/tomato server, large cold-meat fork and a pie/cake server. All the pieces listed were in perfect condition and stored in a lined wooden silver chest.

Also taken were sterling silver hollowware, including an antique sauce boat, engraved "NEHC" with the year, and silver plated hollowware, including a tea/coffee service (pot, creamer, sugar bowl with lid) and a large (approximately 14–16-inch diameter) round serving tray with simple raised rim; plain finish except for engraved inscription in center: "Dorman and Claudette / May 2, 1964."
