Hampshire Pottery Vase Theft Reported At Brimfield

:The Brimfield Police Department is investigating the reported theft of a Hampshire Pottery vase from a dealer exhibiting at J&J Promotions on Friday, May 14, during the Brimfield spring antiques market.

The vase was taken at approximately 1:30 pm while the dealer's attention was being focused on helping a customer, according to the dealer.

The vase, purchased recently by the dealer at auction, is a signed piece by Emma Robertson, circa 1904–10, Keene, N.H. It is approximately 8½ to 9 inches tall with a bulbous body and features a blue glaze matte design that has a mottled texture. On the bottom of the vase are the artist's markings: a big "M" and small "A."
