Beck Whittemore, Chairperson Of Golden Ball Tavern Show Dies

Beck (Francis) Whittemore died on June 22. She was the loving wife of the late William A. Whittemore and devoted mother of Gail Denman and her husband, James M., of Weston, Mass.

For more than 25 years she and her husband were chairpersons for the Annual Outdoor Antiques Show at the Golden Ball Tavern Preservation Museum held the last Saturday in September. Beck and Bill were well-known to many of the "old-timers" in the antiques world, some of whom have been exhibiting at Golden Ball Tavern since the first show in 1967.

A memorial service was held on June 29 at the Trinity Church, Boston. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the Golden Ball Tavern Trust, 662 Boston Post Road, Weston MA 02493.
