:Linda Turner has announced that she has cancelled her Riverside Antiques Show in August 2007. In a letter to her dealers she expressed regret in having to make the decision, but explained that the proceeds from putting on a show in the location she has used for the past four years was not enough to justify the high costs incurred.
For example, she has been searching, unsuccessfully, for an affordable solution to the problem of rainwater entering the tent, as it did in 2002. Experiencing the Nor'easter last month finally decided the matter for her — it would be unwise to continue the show without a guarantee that water could be kept out of the tent.
Turner wishes to express thanks to all of the faithful Riverside attendees of years past and hopes to see them at her Dorset Show in July and Fall Hartford Show in October.
