:Three new exhibitors and one returning exhibitor will enhance the 45-dealer roster of The American Antiques Show (TAAS), scheduled to open with a benefit preview for the American Folk Art Museum on Wednesday, January 16, 5 to 9:30 pm at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan.
"As opportunities arise, we want to broaden the footprint of the show to provide our clientele with the best of America in all of its regional facets," show manager Karen DiSaia said of the fair, known for American fine and decorative arts, folk art, toys, Native American art, jewelry and photography.
New exhibitors include Federal furniture specialist Jesse Goldberg of Artemis Gallery in North Salem, N.Y.
Charles and Rebekah Clark of Woodbury, Conn., will offer classical American furniture and lighting.
Ned Jalbert, a Westboro, Mass., specialist in North American Indian art, will show Northwest Coast American Indian art and Eskimo material.
The Cooley Gallery of Old Lyme, Conn., is returning to TAAS with American Nineteenth and early Twentieth Century paintings and sculpture.
The new exhibitors replace the late Jackie Radwin; Elliott and Grace Snyder, who are exhibiting at the Winter Antiques Show; and Wayne and Phyllis Hilt and the Philadelphia Print Shop, who resigned from the fair.
