THE TSCHEBULL ANTIQUE CARPET COLLECTION Sale #114 Including approximately 200 Rugs and Carpets from the esteemed inventory of Tschebull Antique Carpets of Darien, CT About the Collection: Tschebull Antique Carpets was founded in 1982 in Darien, Connecticut by the husband and wife team of Mike and Inge Tschebull. They have personally inspected each purchase over the 25 years of running their gallery to be sure each rug met their exacting standards. The collection consists of only old rugs woven with natural dyes and well-sorted hand-spun yarn. Mr. Tschebull authored the seminal Kazak: Carpets of the Caucasus in 1971, and continues to write, do research, and lecture in the field of old rugs and carpets. The Tschebulls are ready for the next chapter in their lives and while it will continue to include rugs, it will not be anchored in a retail rug shop; therefore, they have chosen Grogan & Company to disperse the inventory of the retail store.
