Antiques Dealer Larry Melvin Passes Away At Age 64

Antiques dealer Lawrence L. "Larry" Melvin, born July 17, 1940, in Springfield, Ohio, died Sunday, June 26, in Blue Ash, Ohio, at the age of 64. The son of LeRoy and Madalyn Melvin, he graduated in 1958 from Catholic Central High School in Springfield and was retired from International Harvester after 30 years of service.

Larry was also an antique dealer for the past 40 years participating in numerous shows including Jim Burk's Greater York Antiques Show. He was also an active member of St Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, three sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Dia Melvin of Clear Water, Fla., John and Pat Melvin of Westerville, Ohio, and Ed and Peggy Melvin of Fort Thomas, Ky., and three grandchildren, Sam, Ben and Hannah Melvin.

A mass of Christian Burial was scheduled to be held Thursday, June 30, 10 am, at the St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lebanon. Memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of Cincinnati.
