| In 1940, the Baker Furniture Company of Holland and Grand Rapids, Mich. published a catalog of their Eighteenth Century reproduction furniture. The images in this Schiffer publication, taken from that catalog and drawn by Baker from private collections, museums and antiques dealers, include an assemblage of American and European pieces put together by Hollis S. Baker, the son of the company's founder, Siebe Baker. Illustrations of more than 600 reproductions are featured in black and white, with information on dimensions, materials and provenance given. A guide to estimated market values is also provided.
