| In its third edition, Susan Theran's Fine Art remains an excellent source for the collector and dealer. Sound advice on how and where to buy and sell art, a discussion of the restoration of paintings and works on paper, a look at art as investment, and a guide to art research begin the reference. Several thousand artists are listed alphabetically, with low and high prices achieved for drawings, paintings and/or sculpture. Interspersed throughout are brief biographies of selected artists, which mention major works and record prices. While a black and white image accompanies each bio, the book also features a center section of sixteen color plates.
