| Among the works of Blake's last years, the 21 watercolors inspired by the Book of Job, made for the artist's patron John Linnell, include some of Blake's best-known pictures. The Dover edition reproduces all of these works in approximately 7" by ten inch size and a selection of 13 watercolors from other sets taken through a limited facsimile edition published by the Pierpont Morgan Library. Also reproduced from the Morgan edition are 32 black and white illustrations, including 22 engravings based on the watercolors. These represent Blake's final conception of each illustration and feature decorative borders and texts.
