| The first 50 years of Camel advertising and packaging are featured in this latest effort by Congdon-Martin, who also wrote Tobacco Tins: A Collector's Guide and Antique Cigar Cutters. The author begins with a concise, informative history of the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, their early products (such as Prince Albert tobacco) and the eventual development of Camel cigarettes. Color images of Camel counter displays, posters, decals, ashtrays, original advertising art, cigarette holders and calendar displays are featured, along with black and white photographs of actual storefronts and billboards in their settings. Newspaper clippings about the Reynolds company are also included. A price guide and bibliography round out the publication.
