Welsh's book shows more than 100 patterns, including DuBarry, Rosalynde and Summertime, in a variety of shapes, organized by manufacturer. Each chapter begins with a history of the maker and includes information about the inspiration and dates for some of the patterns, as well as the marks used by the company. Royal Winton, James Kent, Lord Nelson, Shelley, Crown Ducal and Empire, along with other English companies, are covered. Approximate values are also provided.
