| Lovely examples of enameled ware made for the kitchens of the 1800s to the 1940s are featured in some 375 excellent photographs by Pikul. Plante, a writer collector of European enameled ware, and Pikul, owner of Chuctanunda Antique Company, Amsterdam, N.Y., have divided their chapters by form, color, styles, and graphic designs. Chapters on the history of enameled ware and selecting and caring for collections are also provided. Items shown are taken from the collections of Chuctanunda as well as those of Cobweb Corner Antiques, Brooklyn, Conn.; Snow Leopard Antiques, Great Barrington, Mass.; Foundation Antiques, Fair Haven, Vt.; and other private assemblages.
