The October Fine Collections and DeCoR auction features a selection of decorative and fine art, including a Selden Connor Gile landscape, a Jan Jacob Coenraad
Spohler oil on panel, and a Johann Adalbert Angermeyer still life from a California estate. Collections include a World War II photography collection, a variety
of coin and stamp collections, camera equipment, an American sampler, many fine pieces of jewelry and an assortment of Continental and American furniture.
This auction also includes items from the estate of Alexander Pope.

Studios, Burbank, USA, 2004, labeled verso, stamped “Peter Lindbergh” verso; 9109 - Selden Connor Gile (American 1877-1947), landscape, oil on board, typical of Gile this work is unsigned, back of artist’s board shows two stamps from previous owner in Belvedere, CA, also included is provenance information including an exhibition leaflet dated July 8 - August 16, 1975, North Point Gallery, San Francisco, CA, dated 1975 when it was purchased and given to the current set of owners and has descended within the family. Provenance: Wenham, MA estate; 9122 - 18th century, Pair of Meissen porcelain figures, gentleman in ornately painted 18th century dress and matching lady in ornate dusty rose gown, called “The Duke” and “The Duchess”; 9115 - American sampler, academy-done and signed “Ellen Hindle - 1847”, silk on linen with colorful birds and pots of flowers with plow images verso and a large brick academy building at the bottom. Provenance: Descended in family from Maryland/ Delaware area; 9229 - 1905 $2.50 gold piece; 9057 - Whiting sterling and parcel gilt fish set in the “Ivory” pattern, circa 1890 ivory handles, the “ivory” pattern was designed by Charles Osborne for Whiting in 1890. Provenance: Fairhaven, MA estate; 9003 - 18K yellow and rose gold bracelet with diamonds and emeralds; 9004 - 18K two tone gold, diamond, and emerald ring.
