I found a silver plated ceremonial sword totally engraved with I believe the makers names at the base that stated "Henderson ames co. kalamazoo, mi. On the handle was inserted a wooden cross. Any information or is this a fake? it appears old. Please - melissa |

I have a sabre...looks to me like a Foot Officer's Sword form the Civil War period. However, the blade is a bit narrower and it bears the inscription 'Carl eickhorn Solingen on the blade by the hilt. The other side bears a crest of some sort and the lette - Ameci50 |

I recently avquired a sword made by Henderson Ames and Co. It is from the International Order Of Foresters. It is from 4 generations ago. Does anyone have any insight as to the history of either the sword or the International Order of Foresters.
