Reward Offered For Family Heirlooms Stolen From Nova Scotia Residence

:Up to $1,000 is being offered by the owners for information resulting in the arrest and conviction of individuals involved in the break-in of a residence here and the recovery of the substantial number of family antiques removed from the premises.

The break-in occurred some time between December 25 and March 1. The crime is being investigated by the RCMP Queens Detachment.

Reported missing are: an oil painting of Joseph Currier in gold leaf frame; an oil painting of Katherine Currier Jones; a tiptop black table with mother-of-pearl inlay; brass student oil lamp missing yellow shade; red glass vase; small black and white cow pitchers; large and small porcelain soup tureens of cows with flower garlands; large picture of Asenath Campbell under glass gold leaf frame 1870 photo portrait; family embroidered sampler by Asenath Mack Campbell; small ceramic figurine of lady; Chinese turquoise porcelain horse; brass lamp with two yellow shades originally oil converted to electric operation; and an Eskimo carving gray soapstone.

Also reported missing is Inuit carving seal hunter; various porcelain items; two red vases; mug; fishing boy figurine; birch bark moose call; Victorian ball and claw spindle top stool; Old Ironsides print framed behind glass; framed old sampler: "God is Love"; several hooked rugs; Cheticamp needlepoint rug; needlepoint view from Shelburne House by Lila Webb; framed envelope to C.H. Jones from Admiral Byrd; Masons member certificate for John Campbell; mahogany framed mirror; medium sized mahogany writing chest; brass candleholder; lithograph print; commemorative long leather strap with brass medallions (George VI, Edward VIII); and a pewter tea service.
