Celebrating Stanton Auctions’ 25th year in the business, auctioneer Peter Imler hosted an Americana auction on Tuesday, August 2. Peter and his father Bud Imler began with a modest auction in August of 1980, and the two never looked back. Bud Imler, now retired from the antiques and auction business, was regrettably unable to attend the sale due to health reasons. The auction hall was jam-packed with a quality selection of materials including a good assortment of paintings, toys and American furniture and accessories. “It was the biggest crowd we have had all year,” stated Imler after the auction. “Lots of old friends and good customers came out to help us celebrate, including a few that were at our very first auction.” Imler is pictured above with the top selling toy of the evening, a rare Buddy L sidewalk handcart that sold for $7,700.
