NEW YORK CITY – Briddge Strategies for Art, Heirs & Philanthropy will make a structured gift of Frederick Childe Hassam’s “Top of Cape Ann” to the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, on behalf of Richard Berger, a client of Christopher Street Financial.
Briddge maintains relationships with the leading financial institutions in an effort to assist their clients in art and philanthropic related matters. The gift was facilitated by Briddge, through its Charitable Art Legacy, and demonstrates the way in which art collectors can incorporate their personal art holdings in attaining their philanthropic objectives.
“Thanks to their experience, Briddge recently led the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts to a splendid late painting by Frederick Childe Hassam, a painting which truly complements our holdings of American Impressionism,” said Derek A. Gilman, president and the Edna S. Tuttleman director.
“We are grateful to Briddge for securing and bringing this beautiful gift to the Philadelphia art community. This is an exciting example of how Briddge works with financial institutions and museums, achieving their clients’ philanthropic goals through the use of the clients’ personal art collections in planned giving,” said Brian J. Fitzgerald, senior vice president, Bank of America.
