A new show during Brimfield week is not even in Brimfield.
Conducted on Thursday, July 10, from 1 to 6 pm at the Sturbridge Host Hotel, Nan Gurley’s Sturbridge show gathered together about 50 dealers at the indoor, air-conditioned facility for a second time. The first show was in May of this year.
As a new show, attendance was not bad, and sales were sufficient so that most dealers renewed for the September 4 event.
Exhibitors included Don Cruise of Baltimore, Md., Harts Country Antiques, New Oxford, Penn., Marilyn Bierylo, Grantham, N.H., and the Brennans from Peterborough, N.H.
Also, Erik Wohl, Promfret, Conn., brought a carved eagle, probably an architectural piece, priced at $3,200.
