Dorothy M. Brooks, longtime antiques dealer and co-owner, with her daughter Abigail A. Brooks, of Brooks Antiques in Frenchtown, N.J., died at her farm here on June 22. She was 87 years old.
Born in Hatboro, Penn., in 1921, she was a daughter of Henry Morris and Amelia Louise (Gomard) Adams. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald E. Brooks.
She is survived by her daughter Abigail, two sons, R. Porter Brooks and R.E. (Reb) Brooks, a grandson, Samuel M. Brooks, and a granddaughter, Abigail C. Brooks.
She was a collector for many years before opening her antiques shop in Plumsteadville, Penn., in 1974. A few years later, she moved her business to Lahaska, Penn., and then in the early 1990s to its present location. She was well known for country antiques, painted furniture and accessories.
