On February 20, three butter prints were reported stolen from an exhibitor’s booth at the Holliston Antiques Show.
The butter prints include a finely carved partridge standing amid foliage with a fluted border, an applied handle and measuring approximately 3¾ inches in diameter. Also taken was a miniature print depicting thistle and leaves surrounded by two concentric circles and measuring 1¾ inches in diameter. This miniature print has a small hole running straight through the center of the print and handle. The third butter print is a deeply carved acorn on a stem with two leaves and a ropelike border, measuring 3 inches in diameter and having a 4-inch-long narrow handle.
The Holliston Police Department is investigating this theft. Anyone having any information on the whereabouts of these items can contact the department at 508-429-1212, referencing incident no. 10-72-OF.
