Irwin Mallow died Thursday, January 6. He is survived by his wife, Jan Whitlock, a specialist in American textiles and folk art.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1928, Irwin served in the US Army in Korea. He had a long and distinguished career as an executive in the New York textile industry, until his retirement in 1994. An active community member, he continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania at Westchester and recently attended courses at the University of Delaware.
Irwin is also survived by his three children, Brian, Lisa and Ben Mallow, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org .
