THOMASTON, MAINE – Over 1,250 lots will be sold at the Thomaston Place auction, August 29-30. Expected to lead the sale is an oil-on-canvas landscape painting by noted French painter Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot. Other fine paintings in the sale include a large watercolor by Andrew Wyeth, an interior view in the artist’s home by John Singer Sargent and landscapes by James Taylor Harwood. The sale will also include American and European furniture, weathervanes, ship models, native American jewelry and artifacts, Russian enamel pieces by Faberge and others, numerous Asian objects and Chinese export porcelain, works by Maine artists, doorstops, Steiff toys, art glass, bronzes and much more.
