COPAKE, N.Y. — A rare circa 1889 King 50-inch high wheel safety bicycle sped off the block at Copake Auction’s annual auction of antique and classic bicycles April 16. One of 16 examples known of the 30 made, the bicycle attained $18,720, making it the top lot (or king) of the auction.
