LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. — Standing tallest out of Rago’s three auctions last weekend was a rare Galle Allium floor lamp that went well over estimate to fetch $310,000, including the buyer’s premium, at Rago’s early Twentieth Century design auction Saturday, October 15.
The possibly unique lamp measures 70½ inches tall and has been exhibited at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on temporary loan in 2014.
A complete report on the auction will follow in an upcoming edition.
