NEW YORK CITY — The top lot of Shapiro Auctions’ December 10 auction was Isidor Kaufman’s “A Business Secret,” a signed oil on panel that was acquired circa 1950 from a private collector and stayed in that family until ten years ago. It sold comfortably within estimate for $455,000, including the buyer’s premium.
