LAS VEGAS, NEV. — The only known bottle of its type that has surfaced completely intact slaked bidders’ thirsts at Morphy Auctions’ Las Vegas gallery on April 14. Among early items associated with Coca-Cola, a 1915 modified prototype bottle created by the Root Glass Company and submitted to Coca-Cola for consideration as their standard Coke bottle finished at $110,700, including premium.
The three-day auction April 12–14 featured Gold Rush, Western and Native American relics, as well as antique coin-operated music and gambling machines alongside an array of antique advertising. Watch for a complete review of the sale in an upcoming issue.
