DALLAS — Heritage Auctions offered an authentic cardboard advertising poster for the Fab Four’s summer 1966 personal appearance at Shea Stadium in Queens, N.Y., at its November 16 auction. “It has been bootlegged a million times, but this is the real deal, pulled down by our consignor off a telephone pole 53 years ago.” The Beatles 1966 genuine, original Shea Stadium New York City concert poster sold for $125,000. It was closely followed by the finest Grateful Dead 1966 “Skeleton & Roses” concert poster FD-26 graded near-perfect 9.8, which sold for $118,750.
