MARLBOROUGH, MASS. — On April 23, an unlikely lot swam to the top of Skinner’s American furniture and decorative arts online sale. This Nineteenth Century glazed redware fish-form flask with molded body and scale details far surpassed its $200/250 estimate to achieve $9,375. Other top lots included two Eighteenth Century chairs, a Great Chair and a sack-back Windsor, two larger group lots of pressed glass and an engraving by Paul Revere. It was a collector’s playground that will be covered more fully in a future issue.
