On October 21, more than $5,000 in jewelry was stolen from locked jewelry cases in the Hyde Park business. Access to the cases was gained with either a universal key or the locks were picked. In the same manner, a larceny was committed on the same day in the Rhinebeck antiques shop, with approximately $3,000 in jewelry taken.
