LOUISVILLE, KY. – The Speed Art Museum,m in partnership with Cincinnati agency Zender + Associates, has launched a campaign to digitally promote the upcoming exhibition, “Millet to Matisse: Nineteenth- and Twentieth-Century French Painting from Kelvingrove Art Gallery, Glasgow, Scotland” on view at the Speed November 6 through February 2, 2003 as the premiere venue.
The museum is offering website visitors a free interactive digital brochure that provides an educational overview of artists featured in the exhibition. Zender + Associates developed the brochure as a donation to the museum. The brochure can be viewed online or downloaded: www.speedmuseum.org/brochure.
The brochure allows users to view a different work of art each month by such masters as Monet, Renoir, Cassatt, Cézanne, van Gogh and Picasso. Users can also view up close detail of featured monthly paintings, explore an Impressionism timeline of exhibition artists, and receive updates about the exhibition throughout the year.
The Speed Art Museum implemented a digital marketing plan, developed by Zender + Associates, to announce the exhibition and promote the availability of the “Millet to Matisse” digital brochure. The campaign includes traditional direct mailings, HTML-based email, and an interactive CD-ROM featuring the digital brochure that will be mailed to regional schoolteachers and art professors.
The Speed Art Museum will host the US premiere of the “Millet to Matisse” exhibition, The exhibition features works from the Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and Modern periods. The exhibition is organized by the American Federation of Arts (AFA) and Glasgow Museums.
