Christie’s ocean liner furnishings and art sale on June 1 totaled $968,880, with 89 percent sold by value and 81 percent sold by lot.

The top lot was a painted cast bonze house flag and name from a lifeboat on the RMS Titanic, which sold for $72,000. Also from one of ill-fated vessel’s lifeboats was a painted cast bronze name board and port sign. It brought $60,000.

A detailed builder’s model of the ocean liner SS Conte Biancamano, 1927, realized $54,000.
