CINCINNATI, OHIO – Cincinnati Art Galleries’ exhibit of paintings and drawings by Edgar Yaegar (1904-1997) features 50 of the artist’s works from the 1920s through the 1990s.
Yaeger’s illustrious career spanned eight decades. His award winning work was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, the Detroit Institute of Art, the Corcoran Gallery Biennial, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
In l930 Yaeger earned the distinct honor of being one of only 48 artists chosen from a field of more than 1,000 for the Carnegie Institute Invitational. Henri Matisse was one of the judges.
