NEW YORK CITY — Lark Mason Associates took in another dazzling result for a Korean screen as the firm roused $225,000 for a Nineteenth Century example in its April 24 sale. Each section of the eight panel screen measures 46 by 18 ½ inches, depicting a different scene in each image. The screen came to sale with a $35/55,000 estimate and the owner had purchased the example in 1996 out of the house of a Harvard professor. It has been a hot year for Korean screens at Lark Mason, as only six months ago in October, 2017, the firm sold a different example for $562,500.
