LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. – Nicholas Dawes, Suzanne Perrault, David Rago and John Sollo have partnered to form 333 Auctions. Dawes, Perrault and Rago are familiar from their seasons as expert appraisers in PBS’s Antiques Roadshow. Sollo, whose career has taken him from folk art to pop art, is an authority in Twentieth Century Modern.
“People have been offering great estate property to each of us as individuals for as long as we’ve known one another — and longer,” said Rago. “If this property was outside of our respective specialties, we’ve always made referrals to the dealer or auctioneer we thought could do the best job. It just took us a while to realize that together we have all the expertise we need.”
Individuals will be able to walk into 333 with consignments or photos any Monday between the hours of 2 and 5 pm and meet with one or another of the partners and staff members. These appraisal Mondays are free and no appointment is necessary.
333 Auctions, which will be conducted on Tuesdays, kicks off its first sale on Tuesday, January 28, at 11 am at the Rago Arts and Auction Center, 333 North Main Street.
Future sales will be held year-round on Tuesday mornings at 333 North Main. Previews will be held on the Sunday afternoon and Mondays prior to the auctions.
Joining Dawes, Perrault, Rago and Sollo in the 333 Auctions partnership is Miriam Tucker, the head of the management team and CEO.
