An Eighteenth Century carved bamboo brush pot brought a record $539,500 at Skinner Auction Galleries’ June 2‴ Asian arts sale. The pot was carved elaborately with immortals in a mountain landscape, inscribed and bore a dated guichou year.
Asian expert James Callahan delivered another record-breaking sale, with a total of $6.1 million.
