Barn Star Productions of Rhinebeck, N.Y., has changed the date for the autumn Hartford Antiques Show from September, as previously announced, to October 31⁎ovember 1, 2009.
The September date fell on Rosh Hashanah, and Barn Star believes the October 31⁎ovember 1 date will be a much better choice for this event’s premiere, opening up the opportunity for clientele to spend the weekend in New England.
“It is encouraging and exciting to be the recipient of both phone calls and emails from dealers that are signing up to join us at the autumn Hartford Antiques Show, and we are amazed at the list we have accumulated already,” said Barn Star show promoter Frank Gaglio. “We believe this is a positive sign for the popularity and enthusiasm for our new show, and look forward to greeting our exceptional dealers and customers alike.”
The show will be conducted at the Connecticut Expo Center, with easy access, free on site parking and a café. The show will feature more than 100 unique and diverse antique dealers. Show attendees will have two days to explore each booth, filled with period furniture, artwork, jewelry, toys, early iron, pottery, textiles, maps, glass and folk art. The show will also add some new categories, including midcentury modern and English antiques.
