NEW YORK CITY — A Chanukah lamp by Kozlo, Kielce, circa 1840, attained $31,250 at J. Greenstein & Co., March 1, the first of his twice-a-year auctions, selling 232 pieces of Judaica, 29 of which came from Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz’s collection.
The lamp with a gilded back plate is decorated with a stag, a lion, a griffon, two sea serpents and a grapevine.
