COPAKE, N.Y. — Copake Auction’s May 18 Estate Auction included Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century furniture, artwork, folk art, period accessories, china, glass, stoneware, banks and toys and Toby mugs, among others. Out of the 782 lots offered, two Japanese woodblock prints led the day, realizing $5,625 against a $75-$100 estimate. The two prints were by the Edo period painter and printmaker Hokusai (Japanese, 1760-1849), and measured 14 by 20 inches framed. More details on this auction will appear in an upcoming issue.
