BEVERLY, MASS. — Frank Kaminski and Kaminski Auctions’ October 14 sale of Asian material was topped by a Chinese Qing dynasty yellow porcelain bottle vase with enameled bats and floral decoration, and blue Guangxu mark on the bottom, which earned $6,000. It was part of a large selection of Chinese Qing dynasty porcelains. A Meji period Japanese satsuma moon flask, vase signed Koshda, decorated with foo dog handles, cherry blossoms and birds led the Japanese porcelain offerings. The sale included a collection of Japanese tsuba and other sword hardware, snuff bottles, carved jade and more. Prices quoted include the buyer’s premium as reported by the auction house; a full report will follow.
