Contemporary art from the Collection of Dr. Richard T. Stern and Odile Stern, this auction includes a fine array of paintings, lithographs, and sculpture from New York City collectors who were passionate about the arts. Unusually enough, while performing dentistry upon artists such as Larry Rivers and Christo, Dr. Richard T. Stern became social friends with many of his clients, often accepting art as payment for services rendered. Odile Stern created an orderly identification for each work in the Stern home. Lots being offered from the Stern Collection will be accompanied by Odile’s own archival record.
